The Main Dashboard is the first page you see when you log in to vChain ONE. It answers two questions:
What needs attention right now? Shipments on the way, today’s pickups and deliveries, and issues that need your input.
How is your logistics developing over time? Volumes, transport cost, transit time and on-time performance.
The dashboard has two pages: Right now and Trends. Switch between them with the tabs under the page title.
The header: filters and data freshness
Filters
The filters at the top right apply to the whole page:
Site: your sites in vChain ONE.
Carrier: the carrier of the shipment.
Direction: inbound or outbound shipments.
From city / To city: where shipments are picked up and delivered.
Currency (Trends page only): the currency transport cost is shown in. If you leave it empty, cost is shown in your own currency from your vChain ONE profile.
To use a filter:
Click it to open the list.
Type in Search to find a value quickly.
Tick one or more values.
To go back to everything, clear the selection. All means no filter is applied. The (Blank) option selects shipments where that field is empty.
Filters stay applied when you switch between Right now and Trends.
Data as of
Data as of at the right shows when your data was last updated, for example “Data as of 2026-10-20 12:00 (CET/CEST)”. Data is updated several times a day during working hours. A shipment registered or updated after this time appears with the next update.
Right now: what needs attention today
The Right now page always shows the current situation, so it has no period filter.
Key figures
In transit: shipments on the way now. The line below shows how many are late and how many have no estimated delivery time (ETA) from the carrier.
Needs your action: open issues only you can resolve, for example a delivery attempt that failed. The line below shows how long the oldest one has been waiting.
Handled by vChain: open issues the vChain Control Tower is working on for you. The line below shows how many issues were resolved in the last 7 days.
Pickups today: shipments picked up so far today, out of all pickups planned for today. Overdue pickups from earlier days are shown separately.
Deliveries today: shipments delivered so far today, out of all deliveries expected today.
Needs your action
This list shows open issues from the last 30 days where vChain needs your input. Each row is one issue:
Status: what happened, for example Delivery attempted, Information required, Shipment damaged or Shipment lost.
What we need from you: the action that solves it.
Shipment: click the shipment number to open the shipment in vChain ONE.
Shipment status, Sender reference, Carrier: help you recognise the shipment.
Days waiting: how long the issue has been open. It turns orange after a week or more.
The newest issues are at the top. The text above the table tells you how many issues there are of each status.
Tip: start with the orange rows. They have been waiting longest.
Pickups and deliveries today
Pickups today by carrier shows, for each carrier:
Picked up: collected today.
Still planned today: planned for today, not collected yet.
Overdue from earlier: planned for an earlier day and still not collected.
Deliveries today by sender shows, for each sender:
Delivered: delivered today.
Still on the way: in transit with an ETA of today.
Use the Inbound and Outbound buttons on a chart to show only incoming or outgoing shipments. The buttons change only that chart, not the rest of the page. Click the selected button again to show both. Scroll inside a chart to see more carriers or senders.
What vChain does for you
Issues vChain is handling for you: open issues on shipments that are not delivered yet, by type. Examples are Delivery date overdue, Manual carrier follow-ups (the vChain team contacts the carrier because tracking has not updated), Return initiated and Customs hold. You don’t need to act on these. vChain will contact you if anything is needed.
Control tower collaboration, last 7 days: issues resolved each day. The dark part was resolved by the vChain team, the light part together with you.
Trends: how your logistics develops over time
The period
On the Trends page, the Period card at the top right sets the time window, for example “In the last 6 months”. Click it to choose another window: a number and a unit (days, weeks, months, years), counted back from today. Shipments are counted by the date they were registered.
Key figures and the comparison line
Shipments: shipments registered in the period.
Transport cost: cost of priced shipments in the period. The line under the title tells you what share of shipments has a price.
Average transit time (days): days from pickup to delivery.
On-time pickup: share of shipments picked up on time.
On-time delivery: share of shipments delivered on time.
The line under each number compares the period with the average of the two previous periods of the same length. For example, “▲ 3.8% vs avg prev. 12 months” with a 6-month period means 3.8% more than the average of the 6-month periods in the 12 months before.
Green means better: more shipments, lower cost, shorter transit time, higher on-time share.
Red means worse.
For on-time shares the change is shown in percentage points (pp).
Charts
Transport cost by month vs last year:
dark bars are this year’s cost, light bars the same month last year;
the lines show the number of shipments this year and last year;
only priced shipments are included.
On-time pickup and delivery by month: the share of shipments picked up and delivered on time, per month.
Average transit time by month (days): average days from pickup to delivery. Shipments without both dates are not included.
Top 10 carrier services by transport cost: the carrier services you spend most on in the period.
The text under each chart title says which shipments are included and points out the main takeaway, for example the weakest month.
Tips
Hover over any bar or card to see exact values.
Large numbers are shortened: K = thousand, M = million.
Use the visual menu: hover over a chart and use the icons in its corner, for example to open it in focus mode.
Frequently asked questions
A chart or card is empty. Why?
Check the filters. A combination of filters can leave no shipments, for example a carrier you don’t use for that direction. On Trends, also check the Period. If your shipments have no direction registered, the Inbound and Outbound buttons and the Direction filter will not show data.
Why don’t the numbers match another report or an export?
The Main Dashboard counts shipments by registration date.
Transport cost includes only priced shipments.
Data is shown as of the time in Data as of.
Differences in any of these explain most gaps.
How often is the data updated?
Several times a day during working hours. The time of the last update is always shown in Data as of.
Who do I contact about an issue in the Needs your action list?
Open the shipment from the list and follow the instruction in What we need from you. For questions, contact your vChain coordinator.
