What this dashboard is for
When you book a full truck (FTL), you pay for the whole truck, however much you put in it. This dashboard shows how full your trucks actually are, so you can:
see whether you’re paying for empty space;
find lanes where loads could be consolidated or booked as part loads instead;
follow whether utilization improves over time.
How utilization is measured
A truck can be “full” in two ways:
By weight: shipment weight ÷ 24 t (the max payload of a standard truck).
By loading meters (LDM): loading meters used ÷ 13.6 m (the length of a standard trailer).
Truck utilization is the higher of the two. Heavy goods fill a truck by weight before it runs out of floor space; light, bulky goods fill the floor long before they reach 24 t. Either way the truck is full.

Period (top right): default is the last 12 months.
Site and Carrier.
Loading type: default is Full Truck Load, since utilization matters most there.
Data as of: when the data was last updated.
The cards at the top
Shipments and Weight shipped (t): volume in the period.
Truck utilization, By loading meters and By weight: average fill rate. The subtitle shows how many shipments have the data (for example “67% with LDM”). Shipments without weight or loading meters are not included.
The line under the value compares with the average of the previous 24 months.
The charts
Truck utilization by month: fill rate by weight (navy) and by loading meters (gray) per month. A stable, high gray bar with a lower navy bar is typical for light, bulky goods.
Truck utilization, 10 busiest lanes: the same two measures per lane.
Look for lanes where both bars are low. Those trucks leave half empty, so it’s worth combining shipments or booking a part load instead.
A lane with a low navy bar but a full gray bar (for example 26% by weight, 100% by LDM) is full by space. Fine as it is.
Click a lane and drill down to see which carriers run it.
Shipments: every truck, newest first, with weight, loading meters and both fill rates. Bars in orange are under 50%. Click the shipment number to open it in ONE.
Common questions
Why is utilization 100% when the truck isn’t at 24 t?
It’s full by loading meters, i.e. the floor is full.
Why don’t all shipments count?
Only shipments with weight or loading meters registered are included.
